This stereo does not have a built in CD player. Instead it will play digital music files from multiple sources. It features a USB port for connecting an MP3 player or flash drive, an SD Card slot, and an iPod connection for controlling and recharging an iPod RV-HAR-6 adapter cable required to connect your iPod, sold separately

The rugged design of this unit makes it a great option for any vehicle with demanding environmental needs. No moving parts increases reliability. Built to resist shock, vibration, dust, humidity and extreme cold and hot temperatures.

Great for a humid marine environment, but not a waterproof stereo. You will need a cover if you expect it to get wet.
